Managing custom contact fields in your Stadium account allows for enhanced organization and personalization of your contacts. This step-by-step guide will help you navigate through adding, editing, and deleting custom contact fields to ensure your contacts are managed efficiently.
Accessing the Manage Custom Fields
Navigate to the Contacts Page
- Login to your Stadium Account
- Click on the drop-down button found beside your profile name
- Select Contacts from the options.
Access the Manage Custom Fields
- From the Contacts dashboard, click on the plus sign (+) found at the upper right corner of the contacts list
- Select Manage Custom Fields.
Adding Custom Fields For Your Contacts
Add Custom Fields
- After clicking on the "Manage Custom Fields", a pop-up page will show with blank fields that you will need to fill out.
- You can add up to five custom fields.
- Enter a unique field name and select the field type (text or date). For example, you can add a "Language" field as text or a "Receiving Date" field as a date.
- Please note that you can only use a field name once.
- Once you have added the custom fields, click "Save."
- The custom fields will now appear as additional columns in your contacts list.
Editing Contact Information Using Your Custom Fields
Edit Field Values
- Open any contact by clicking on the arrow icon (⤢) found at the end of each contact detail.
- Edit the contact details - add information on the new custom fields you have added.
- Once done, click on Save.
Deleting Custom Fields
Delete Fields
- Go to "Manage Custom Fields."
- From the list of fields, locate the one you wish to delete and click the delete icon (🗑)
- Once the field has been removed, click on SAVE.
Uploading Custom Fields via CSV
If you want to easily add the contact details to your Contacts with the custom fields you want to include, you can do so by utilizing the Upload CSV option, here's how:
- Click on the plus sign (+) found at the top right corner of the Contacts page.
- Select on Upload CSV
- From the pop-up page, you will find an option to Download Template, click on it.
- From the downloaded template, you can add the information of your Contacts.
- Include the new custom fields you have added for your Contacts as another column on the template to ensure it will also be filled out after you upload the file.
- After you have completed your CSV file and have it saved to your local device, go back to the Upload CSV option from the Contacts Page.
- From the pop-up page, click on the SEARCH LOCAL DEVICE option.
- Upload the CSV file.
- Check the box for the "Let CSV contacts overwrite existing contacts (excluding contacts synced via HRIS)" if you wish to change all the details from your Contacts.
- Click on SUBMIT
