Important Note Before You Start

⚠️ Note: Swag items from shared collections, “In Design” collections, or existing inventory in your swag locker cannot be customized. Only swag items you own and that are live in your Swag On-Demand collection are eligible for editing.

Step-by-Step Guide on Customizing a Specific Swag Design from Your Swag On-Demand Collection

Entry Points

There are two entry points to customize a swag item from your collection. You can either edit from your Shop’s Branded Swag tab or from your Swag Page.

✅ Option 1: Customize from the Branded Swag Tab in Your Shop

Navigate to the Shops Page

• Expand the Sidebar Menu (if collapsed)
  • Click on the left-facing arrow ( ˂ ) at the top-left corner of the sidebar to expand the navigation menu.
    (If the menu is already expanded, you can skip this step.)
     
• Navigate to Shops
  • In the sidebar menu, locate and click on "Shops" to access your shop's page. 

Select Your Live Shop

• On the " Shops" page, navigate to LIVE Shops, then click on the specific shop you'd like to access.

Navigate to the Branded Swag tab

• Go to the BRANDED SWAG tab and go to SAVED DESIGNS.
• Under the Available Swag list, look for the swag collection you want to check.
• Click the drop-down arrow at the top and click on the VIEW ALL button to see all items in that collection.

Initiate Customization

•  

  • Look for the pencil icon or customizer icon beside the swag item.

  • Click to launch the customization tool.

✅ Option 2: Customize from the Swag Page

Navigate to Your Swag Page

• Expand the Sidebar Menu (if collapsed)
  • Click on the left-facing arrow ( ˂ ) at the top-left corner of the sidebar to expand the navigation menu.
    (If the menu is already expanded, you can skip this step.)
    
     
• Navigate to Swag
  • In the sidebar menu, locate and click on "Swag" to access your swag page. 

Find the Swag Item

• If you are currently on product view, you may use the search bar or filters to locate the swag item you want to edit.

• Swag items that can be edited will show a pencil icon or a customizer icon.

Switch to Collection View (Optional)

• Click on the swag collection icon to switch to viewing items in COLLECTION VIEW.

• Click on the swag item to go to the product page, or click on the customizer icon directly.

Initiate Customization

• Click EDIT DESIGN on the product page or use the customizer icon from the list view.

• If you are editing from the swag page's main page, just click on the customizer icon to initiate customization

🎨 Customization Features Overview

🖼️ Design Area Tabs / View Selector

• Use the design area tabs or view selector at the top of the canvas to switch between different sides of the product—front, back, and sleeves—for individual design customization

🧰 Canvas Toolbar Functions

Use the canvas control buttons on the right side of the design area to rotate elements, view fullscreen, show the print area, or toggle alignment guidelines.

• Undo button – reverts the last action you performed on the canvas.

• Redo button - Reapplies the last action you just undid.

• Fullscreen button – expands the canvas to fullscreen for a larger view.

• Print area button – shows or hides the print boundaries.

• Guideline toggle – shows or hides alignment guides.

🧵 Product Specs: Variants You Can Customize

This section allows you to customize the base garment options for your design, such as color variants or size variants.

🎨 Color Variants

Editing a Single Color Variant

Color variants can be edited individually or in batches by creating a theme.

• By default, the color variant shown when you open the customizer is the one in the saved design page.

• To change it, click the "x" icon next to the current color.

• Select your desired new color to begin editing it.

Editing Multiple Color Variants

• To add multiple colors in one theme, just click on the "+" symbol in the Theme section.
• Select the color variants you want to add for each theme.

• Once each color is added, you can click on a selected color to switch the product you are viewing in the product preview area.

Creating Multiple Themes

If you wish to edit the same item, but want to add a different design (e.g, logo, text, etc.), you can do this by creating a new theme.

• Click + NEW DESIGN to create a new theme.

• Enter a unique theme name (names cannot be repeated).

• Select the colors for this theme.

Tools You can Use when editing Items in a Theme

Rename

• To rename a theme, click on the theme name and enter the new name of your theme. 
  
  

Duplicate

This tool allows you to apply the same design across different color variants without starting from scratch.

📌 Important Note:
Any additional edits applied to a duplicated theme will only affect that theme, not the original.
Likewise, any changes made to the original theme after duplication will not apply to the duplicated theme.

Edit Logo

• This will allow you to edit or add logos to the items in the selected theme.

Edit Text

• This will allow you to add or modify text on items in the selected theme.

Delete

• To remove a single color variant: Click the "x" next to the color.

• To delete an entire theme: Click the Delete button.

Important Note: 

• All edits within a theme will apply to all its selected variants automatically.

• If you add a new color to an existing theme later, your saved design will automatically apply to that new color as well.

📏 Size Variants

• Each size variant must be edited individually.
• Edits made in one size variant will not be automatically applied to the other sizes.

🖼️ Uploading & Editing Images (e.g., Logos)

Upload Options/ Adding Your New Logo

• You can upload your company's logo by searching the company URL, uploading from your device, or using a previously uploaded logo in your account.
• Once done, click on "I am authorized to use this logo" and then click the USE LOGO button.

• Once your logo is uploaded, check the print quality of the image. For best results, ensure that the image is at least 300 DPI

Image Editing Tools
 

🗑️Delete image- delete a logo by clicking on the trash can icon (🗑️) of the logo's thumbnail.

↗️ Resizing - Resize the logo by dragging the edges of the dotted lines. Alternatively, you may also enter the dimensions on the side toolbar.

📐 Alignment - Edit the image alignment by clicking on the options under IMAGE EDITING section in your side toolbar.

🔄Rotation - Rotate the logo in certain degrees using the slider, or you can hover your mouse on the top line of your logo until the "+" sign shows up.

↩️ Reset to original - use the RESET TO ORIGINAL button to go back to the original image.

⚠️ Error Message -Error messages will display if your logo exceeds the print area, so you can reposition your logo.

🔤 Adding and Editing Text

Add Text

• Input your desired text in the text input field, then click on the ADD TO DESIGN button to start editing the text.
• If you added multiple texts, you have the ability to edit each one or delete it by clicking on the trash can icon.

Text Editing Options

🔤 Text Input Field (Top Box)- Enter or edit the custom text that appears on your design.

🔠 Fonts- Choose the typeface (e.g., Overpass) for your text. This controls the style and personality of your lettering.

🎨 Text Color - Select a color for your text from a wide palette. 

🔄 Rotation - Rotate the text by adjusting the slider or entering a degree value manually. This allows for angled or stylized layouts.

🔡 Text Size- Adjust the width and height of the text box to resize how the text appears on the product.

📏 Letter Spacing -Modify the amount of space between each character. Useful for aesthetic spacing or fitting text neatly within a design area.

📐 Text Alignment - Align your text within the print area (Left, Center, Right)

↕️ Text Placement- Quickly position the text on the product (Left, Center, Right (horizontal positioning), Top, Middle, Bottom (vertical positioning)). 

📑 Duplicate-  Click the duplicate icon next to the text placement to make a copy of the text.

⚠️ Error Message - If the text extends out of the print area, an error message will show so you can reposition your logo.

📚 Layers Panel Features

The Layers section in the design tool is essential for managing different elements (images, text, etc.) added to your product. Here's a breakdown of its key functions and features as shown in the image:

Editing Features

🔝Layers Panel Overview

• Allows you to organize, lock, edit, delete, and reorder every element in your design.
• Each row represents a separate element—image or text—on the product.
   

🔝Layering Order (Top-to-Bottom Stack)

• New elements are added to the top of the stack by default.
• Top layers can overlap or hide lower ones. You can drag and drop layers to reorder them.

🔓 Lock Icon

• Clicking this icon locks the layer.
• Prevents accidental moving or editing of that element on the design canvas.
• Note: All layers are unlocked by default when added.

⋮ More Options (Three Dots Menu)

Opens a dropdown with:

• Edit: Opens the customization panel for that element (e.g., text settings or image resizing).

• Delete: Removes the layer from your design.

🧾 Preview with Mockups

Before finalizing your edits, you can preview how your design will look on different product variants using the MOCKUPS button.

• Click the MOCKUPS button to open the preview panel.

• At the bottom of the screen, you'll see thumbnail previews of each variant (e.g., different colors or sizes, different views on the design area).

• Click on any thumbnail to view the design on that specific variant.

🔄 Making Additional Edits

• To make additional edits, click on the DESIGN button to start editing the product again.
• Any updates you make to the design are automatically reflected in the mockup preview.

🔍 Enlarging the Mockup

• Want a closer look? Simply click on the image card to view a larger version of the mockup for detailed inspection.

💾 Save and Finalize Your Design

Once you're satisfied with your mockup previews and edits, click the SAVE DESIGN button to save your changes.

⚠️ Important Notes:

• Saved changes may take a few minutes to appear on the product details page.

• The customizer currently does not support country-specific variant availability. All color variants of a product will appear in the customizer for designing, but only globally enabled variants will display on the product details page. This means some colors you design may not appear on the product's details page after saving your design.
