Step-by-Step Instructions on How to Create a Salesforce Campaign and Connect It to Stadium for Automated Gifting
Creating a Campaign in Salesforce
Log in To Your Salesforce Account
- Go to https://login.salesforce.com/?locale=ap and log in to your Salesforce account.
Go to Campaigns
- From the top menu, click on Campaigns
Create New Campaign
- Click New to create a campaign.
Fill out Campaign Details
On the pop-up window, enter your campaign details

Name: e.g., Salesforce Gift Campaign

Status: Set to Planned initially

Mark Active: check this box

Event Type: (Optional)
- Start date & end date

Name: e.g., Salesforce Gift Campaign
Once done, click the Save button.
Add Contacts to Campaign
- Use existing contacts or add new ones to your campaign.
- From the campaign page, select Add Contacts to add members to the campaign.
- Select the contacts from your list and click NEXT to proceed.
Enabling Campaign History Tracking (Mandatory)
⚠️ Important: This step is mandatory. Stadium relies on campaign status updates to trigger gifting automations correctly.
Open Salesforce Setup

Click the gear icon in the top-right corner of your Salesforce dashboard.

Select Setup from the dropdown.
Go to Object Manager
- In the Quick Find search bar (top-left of the Setup page), type Object Manager.
- Click Object Manager from the results.
Select the Campaign Object
- From the list of objects, locate and click Campaign
Open Fields & Relationships
- In the Campaign object page, click on Fields & Relationships from the left-hand menu.
- Click the Set History Tracking button located in the top-right corner.
Enable Field History Tracking

✅ Check the box for Enable Campaign Field History.

✅ Select the Status field to track changes.
- Click Save to apply the settings.
Integrate the Salesforce Campaign with Stadium
Requirements:
Before proceeding, ensure that your Salesforce account is already connected to Stadium.

Automated Gifting Creation With Salesforce Campaign
Navigate to the Automated Gifting Page

Expand the Sidebar Menu (if collapsed)
- Click on the left-facing arrow ( ˂ ) at the top-left corner of the sidebar to expand the navigation menu.
(If the menu is already expanded, you can skip this step.)
- Click on the left-facing arrow ( ˂ ) at the top-left corner of the sidebar to expand the navigation menu.

Navigate to the Automated Gifting Page
- In the sidebar menu, locate and click on "Automated Gifting" to go to your automated gifting page.
Create New Automation
- Click on the CREATE NEW AUTOMATION button
Fill Out the Automation Form
- Complete the automation form with details:
In the form:

Enter your automation name

Choose Salesforce Campaign as the automation type

Select your integrated CRM platform

Pick the Salesforce campaign name you created earlier

Select the Trigger State (e.g., Completed)
- Select Recipients Type:
- New only – gifts sent only to members added after the automated gifting creation

New & Existing – gifts sent to all members of the automated gifting
Choose a Gift Type
Select how you want to send gifts:

Shop Link – let recipients choose their own gifts
-
Kit Items – send curated swag or custom bundles
In this example, we will choose the shop link.
- You can either choose from your existing shops
- Or select from one of our premade templates.
- After selecting your shop or template, click the "Use Template" button.
Set Treat Budget and Customize Message
- Set your treat budget, then click "NEXT."
- Note that $1 is equal to 50 points.
- Customize your automated gift's message by entering your desired text.
- Then click "NEXT" to continue.
Select A Payment Method
- Choose or add your preferred payment method from the options provided.
- Click CONTINUE to proceed.
Add Billing Information
- Add the BILLING COUNTRY and BILLING ZIP/PIN CODE.
- Click CONTINUE to proceed.
Review Conditions and Finalize Your Automation
- Read the conditions and terms carefully.
- Click "SUBMIT" to finalize the automation.
Confirmation
Congratulations! Your automation has been created!
How Automated Gifting Triggering Works
Automated Gifting Triggering Logic
- The automation only runs when the campaign status matches the selected trigger state in Stadium (e.g., Completed).
- Add contacts before or after based on the recipient type.
Note: Gifts will be sent to contacts only and not leads.
- Add a start and end date to limit automation duration.
Track Gift Orders
Once triggered:

Orders are created automatically and shown in your Automation Dashboard
