Looking to update wallet access levels for your Shared Wallet? This guide explains how to modify Wallet access for users in a Shared Wallet, including how to switch between Limited access and Full access. Workspace owners and admins with Full Wallet access can easily update these permissions to control who can view, allocate, or manage funds within the Wallet.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to modify user access in your Shared Wallet:
Navigate to the Wallets Page
- Click the Wallet icon or drop-down arrow in the top-right corner of the page to expand the Wallet menu.
- Under CUSTOM WALLETS, you'll see options for your Shared Wallets.
- Select the Shared Wallet you wish to manage.
Locate the User to Modify
- Scroll to the Wallet Users section.
- Use the search bar or filters to quickly locate the user you want to remove.
⚠️IMPORTANT NOTE:
Only Workspace owners or users who have admin permissions in the company Workspace can be modified.
Managing User Access
Default Role Assignment
Newly added users are automatically assigned Limited access.
Default Access for Admin and Workspace Owners
By default, users with a Workspace owner or admin role are given Limited Wallet Access.
This means that even though they have administrative permissions within the Workspace, they can only view and use funds allocated to them unless their Wallet access is manually upgraded to Full.
An Owner or another user with Full Wallet Access can update this setting if broader wallet permissions are required.
⚠️ Note: To change a user's role from Sender to Admin, you can do so on the Contacts Page. Follow the steps in the 👉Managing Permissions article.
Steps to Change a User’s Wallet Access
Navigate to Wallet Users in your wallet settings.
Locate the user whose access you want to update.
In the Wallet Access column, click the current access level (for example, Limited).
-
Select the access type from the dropdown:
Limited – Users can only view and use funds that are allocated to them.
-
Full – Users can add or allocate funds for themselves and other users.
Confirmation
A confirmation message will appear to verify the change.
Once confirmed, the new access level will be applied immediately.
