Creating an automated gift is a fantastic way to recognize milestones, celebrate special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries, and show appreciation to your team members. Follow this step-by-step guide to easily create and manage your automations.
Step-by-Step Guide on Creating an Automation with Shops
Log in to Your Stadium Account
- Go to the Stadium website and log in with your account credentials.
Navigate to the Automated Gifting Page

Expand the Sidebar Menu (if collapsed)
- Click on the left-facing arrow ( ˂ ) at the top-left corner of the sidebar to expand the navigation menu.
(If the menu is already expanded, you can skip this step.)
- Click on the left-facing arrow ( ˂ ) at the top-left corner of the sidebar to expand the navigation menu.

Navigate to the Automated Gifting Page
- In the sidebar menu, locate and click on "Automated Gifting" to go to your automated gifting page.
Create New Automation
- Click on the CREATE NEW AUTOMATION button
Fill Out the Automation Form
- Complete the automation form with details such as the automation name, automation type, and the desired invite send date. Note that the date and time will be based on your time zone.
- Select the type of automation you want to create (e.g., birthday, work anniversary, new hires, etc.). The event date will default based on the automation type you select (e.g., birthdate for a Birthday Gift, start date for a Work Anniversary Gift). For example, if you choose "Birthday," the event date will default to birthdate. If you select "Work Anniversary," the event date will default to the employee's start date.
Select Recipients
There are two ways to select recipients for your automation:

Select Filters For Contacts: Use the provided filters to segment your employee list based on specific criteria.

Select Contacts Manually: Choose individual employees from your contact list.
* If you have not yet set up an integration with your employee database, click the "Manage Contacts" button to configure the integration. You can refer to the article below on how to set it up. ✨How to set up an integration
Send Shop Link and Select a Template
- After selecting your recipients, click the "Send Shop Link" button. You will be prompted to select a shop from which the points will be sent.
- You can either choose from your existing shops
- Or select from one of our pre-made templates.
- After selecting your shop or template, click the "Use Template" button.
Set Treat Budget
- Set your treat budget.
- Then click "NEXT."
- Note that $1 is equal to 50 points.
Customize Message
- Customize your automated gift's message by entering your desired text.
- Then click "NEXT" to continue.
Select Payment Method
- Choose or add your preferred payment method from the options provided.
- Click CONTINUE to proceed.
Add Billing Information
- Add the BILLING COUNTRY and BILLING ZIP CODE.
- Click CONTINUE to proceed.
Review Conditions and Finalize Your Automation
- Read the conditions and terms carefully.
- Click "SUBMIT" to finalize the automation.
Confirmation
Congratulations! Your automation has been created!
