This guide provides step-by-step instructions for integrating your Peer-to-Peer Recognition Program into Microsoft Teams. This allows your team members to recognize each other directly within the Microsoft Teams platform.

🔌Connect the Peer-to-Peer Program to Microsoft Teams
- Login to your Stadium Account
- At the Home page, click on the arrow found on the left-side corner, this will show all the sidebar options
- Select "Recognition", this will route you to the Peer-to-Peer Program page
- Click on the three-dotted lines to view more options, this is found at the right corner of the Peer-to-Peer Program page
- Select "See All Programs"
- Locate the Peer-to-Peer Program you wish to integrate with Microsoft Teams.
- Option 1: Click on the gear icon (⚙️) to view more options, then go to the "Integrations" section
- Option 2: Click on the "CONNECT" button from the banner that says, "Integrate your program with Slack or Microsoft Teams to streamline your recognition."
- You should be routed to the Settings page for that specific program. Go to "INTEGRATIONS" section then click the "CONNECT" button associated with "Microsoft Teams"
- You should be routed to the Microsoft Teams page where you can Download or Launch the Microsoft Teams application or Use the web app instead.
Once you are done connecting Microsoft Teams to your created Peer-to-Peer Program, you can now proceed to the next step, which is setting up the Team Channels in MS Teams for your Peer-to-Peer Program members to start interacting with each other within MS Teams.
🛠 Setting up the Team Channels in the Microsoft Teams App
Create a Team on the Microsoft Teams App
- Launch the Microsoft Teams application on your device.
- Create a Team by following these steps:
- Click on "Teams" in the sidebar.
- Click on the "+" sign, to view more options
- Select "Create Team"
- Fill out the Create a Team form;
- Team name
- Description
- Team Type — you can either set it to Private, Public, or Org-wide.
- Name the first channel — You can create more than one channel under the Team you have created.
- Click "CREATE"
- Once done, you will receive a confirmation that the Team has been successfully created.
- You will be asked to add members to your team by adding their names or email addresses.
- Click "Add"
- You will receive confirmation that your members have been added to the Team's channel.

🔗Connecting Microsoft Teams App and the Stadium Website
Once you've set up your Teams Channels in Microsoft Teams and your Peer-to-Peer Program in Stadium, the next step is to connect both applications. There are three entryways to connect Microsoft Teams and Stadium.
Entry Point # 1: Through the "Manage Team" option in Microsoft Teams
- Click on "Teams" in the sidebar.
- Hover your mouse over the team's name to show the three dotted lines and click it to view more options.
- Select "Manage team"
- Go to the "Apps" section.
- Then click on the "+ Get more apps"
Entry Point # 2: Through the "Apps" option in the side bar in Microsoft Teams
- Click on the "Apps" option found on the left navigation bar
From Entry Point 1 or 2, you will reach the Apps page, follow the steps below to start connecting the Stadium App to your created team.
- You can search the Stadium App using the search bar found at the Apps page
- Once you have located the app, click on the "Add" button associated to it
Entry Point # 3: Through the Peer-to-Peer Program Recognition page in Stadium

Expand the Sidebar Menu (if collapsed)
- Click on the left-facing arrow ( ˂ ) at the top-left corner of the sidebar to expand the navigation menu.
(If the menu is already expanded, you can skip this step.)
- Click on the left-facing arrow ( ˂ ) at the top-left corner of the sidebar to expand the navigation menu.

Navigate to the Recognition Page
- In the sidebar menu, locate and click on "Recognition" to access your peer-to-peer programs page.
- From the Peer-to-Peer Program Recognition page, click on the connect CONNECT button found in the banner that says, "Integrate your program with Slack or Microsoft Teams to streamline your recognition."
- You will be routed to the Integration Settings for your P2P Recognition Program.
- You will find the Microsoft Teams on the app options, click on CONNECT
- You will see a pop-up message that will ask, "Open Microsoft Teams?".
- Select Open Microsoft Teams to be routed to the MS Teams App
- A page will pop up with the app details, click on the "Add to a team" button.
- You’ll be prompted to select the specific team or channel you want to connect with the Stadium App. Simply click the search bar to view all available channels in your Microsoft Teams app.

⚙️Configuring the Peer-to-Peer-Program in Microsoft Teams
This process can be completed once you’ve connected the Microsoft Teams app and set up your P2P Recognition Program.
Approve Admin Permissions
- After connecting your P2P Program to Microsoft Teams, locate the bot within Teams. You will see an option labeled "Give Admin Permissions"
- Be sure to set this up first before proceeding with the rest of the configuration steps. This ensures proper access and functionality for the app.
- Please note that this process can only be done by the Admin.
- Once this is set, you may proceed now to configuration.
Configure your channel to link it with a program
- From the same bot message, click on the CONFIGURE button this time.
- Select the Program.
- Click Submit
- Please note that the user (admin) will only see the list of P2P Recognition Programs where they were added.
- Once confirmed, you will get an automated message from the bot confirming that your program is now connected to the MS Teams channel.
- From the bot's message, you will also find the commands that you and your team can use.
🎉Ways on How to Send Kudos
#1 Through the Recognize Modal
- Click on the RECOGNIZE button found in the automated message from the bot after you have configured the program.
- From the pop up page, select the P2P Recognition Program for your member or recipients.
- Once done, click NEXT.
- Fill out the form
- Enter the amount of the kudos points you want to give your recipients
- Add the recipients recipients whom you want to receive the kudos points
- Add a message.
- Tag someone (Optional)
- Add hashtags (Optional)
- Once done, click SUBMIT
Any actions taken within the channels will be posted in the Stadium App main chat, and there will also be pop up notifications.
- Click on the CHAT option from the side bar to be routed to the Stadium App main chat.
- There you will find the details on the recent action taken from one of your channels — the kudos points sent, who it was sent to, the message and mentioned recipients associated with it. You will also find the remaining kudos on your account and its expiry date.
- Recipients will also be receiving the notification of the kudos sent to them from their personal Stadium App Chat board.
#2 Via Give Command
Give command:
Users can also type "give" in the personal bot to bring up the “Recognize” button, then follow the steps outlined in the first method.

- Alternatively, users can mention the app in the channel and write "give" to access the Recognize modal.
- Type @stadium give to launch the modal.
#3 By Tagging the Recipient on the Channel
Start a Post in the Channel

💬 Bot Help Commands
- Users can type help commands in the personal bot or in the channel (where the program is connected) for assistance.
- Three help commands are available: Hi, Hello, and Help.
